About Us

Born on athletic fields across the nation and founded in the tradition of military and outdoor pageantry, marching bands and color guards have a long history in America. Often rehearsing nine hours a day through heat, cold, dust and rain, they create thrilling performances where athleticism, musical talent, kaleidoscopic movement, and showmanship merge into an art form that is both competitive and entertaining.

Rising from the foothills of La Verne, The Bonita High School Band and Color Guard consistently set ever-higher standards of excellence. From its inception, the Marching Bearcats have achieved success in several competitive circuits across Southern California.

The Bonita High School Instrumental Music and Color Guard Program is steeped in performance traditions and includes distinct seasons for Marching Band, Drumline, Color Guard, Jazz Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, and Symphonic Band. We would like to invite you to experience and share in the excitement and joy of our program.

The La Verne Band Booster Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to the support of the instrumental music programs at Bonita High School and Ramona Middle School in La Verne, CA.
