ADA Compliance Presentation
A presentation/ panel discussion regarding ADA compliance featuring:

Debbie Wong, will help local small business owners better understand ADA compliance requirements and will discuss how CASp services can help business owners.Having a business/property inspected by a CASp shows that business owners care about ensuring equal access for all customers, and the intent to follow the law. A CASp will know which standards apply to a property based on the age of the facility and its history of improvements. While a licensed design professional, such as an architect or engineer, can provide an access compliance evaluation of a facility, only a CASp can provide services that offer “qualified defendant” status in a construction-related accessibility lawsuit.
Janae Davis, CalCAP/ADA Program
The California Capital Access Program (CalCAP) Americans with Disabilities Act (CalCAP/ADA) Financing Program assists small businesses with financing the costs to alter or retrofit existing small business facilities to comply with the requirements of the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990.
The CalCAP/ADA Financing Program is a self-sustaining program that will provide a credit enhancement to support private bank loans to small businesses to make required improvements. The businesses that qualify for the program are among the smallest and are at the most at risk.
The California Capital Access Program, administered by CPCFA since 1994, encourages banks and other financial institutions to make loans to small businesses.
