Los Angeles County Assessor, Jeffrey Prang, will provide an overview of his role, COVID-19’s impact on property assessments, tax saving programs and other resources, and updates on legislation.
Jeff Prang is the Assessor of the County of Los Angeles. As the twenty-seventh Assessor in Los Angeles County history, he serves as the elected leader of the largest public assessment agency in the United States.
For more than twenty five years, Jeff has been serving the public, most recently as City Councilmember and Mayor of the City of West Hollywood. He previously served with the Los Angeles County Sheriff, Los Angeles City Council, County Assessor and as an Assistant City Manager.
Jeff Prang is a California Board of Equalization licensed appraiser. He is a leader of the County Assessors Association (CAA) representing California’s 58 Assessors and serves as a Member of the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO).
Born in Detroit and raised in Warren, Michigan, Jeffrey Prang is a graduate of James Madison College at Michigan State University.
