Inland Valley Repertory Theatre Announces its 2021 Virtual Season — “Safer at Home”

Inland Valley Repertory Theater company (IVRT) is pleased to announce its 2021 streaming season beginning in January. The season includes eight performances around the theme “Safer at Home.” 

“As we continue to stay at home, wear masks and remain safe, IVRT can’t help but miss gathering and experiencing live theatre,” says producing artistic director Frank Minano. “In the meantime, IVRT has created a season of great stories for theatre patrons to enjoy in the comfort and safety of home—our virtual 2021 "Act 1" season from January to June. The eight offerings bring together our Readers Theatre series, our MainStage series, and some fun, added events with just a click of the mouse.” 

IVRT’s Reader’s Virtual Theatre will open in January with Frost/Nixon, followed by Private Lives, Zero Hour and Dinner with Friends. IVRT will also livestream musicals Daddy Long Legs and I Do! I Do!. The season special events in April and June with Leading Ladies of IVRT and IVRT Songbook. As one patron described after watching the recent Holiday streaming reading, “Just watched IVRT’s streaming of Coney Island Christmas! What a delight! You have got this 2020 pandemic form of theatre presentation nailed!” 

IVRT also partners with Eddie’s Italian Eatery in Claremont to offer optional three-course prix-fixe dinner with local home delivery. 

About IVRT’s 2021 Season Performances Reader’s Virtual Theatre
Performances are Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Single tickets are $27 or $47 for performances with dinner option. 

IVRT on Demand 
Streaming musicals Saturdays at 7 p.m. include Daddy Long Legs, based on the Fred Astaire film and Jane Austen theme, featuring Bobby Collins and Amanda Minano. In May, IVRT will stream I Do! I Do, with musical vignettes featuring couples. 

IVRT Special Events 
Some of IVRT’s favorite female performers will be featured in April’s Leading Ladies of IVRT. We conclude our season with Kim Eberhardt hosting our musical cabaret, IVRT Songbook. 

Patrons can save with a Season Membership: 
All eight performances and 4 prix-fixe dinners from Eddies’ Italian Eatery: $264 or $44 per month for six months. Without the dinner option, all eight performances are $150 or $25 per month for six months. There are no refunds. 

Education and Outreach
“I Love Chorus” and “Camp IVRT”

In addition to our season, IVRT hosts “I Love Chorus” and educational programs in acting, singing and movement as well as outreach, including a summer musical theatre workshop for youth, “Camp IVRT.” All programs are in collaboration with the Claremont Community School of Music.

About Inland Valley Repertory Theatre
