LA County Fair Returns with 100th Anniversary Celebration May 5-30

After a two-year hiatus, the LA County Fair returns, kicking off its 100-day countdown today to its Centennial anniversary celebration, which begins May 5. And Fair guests had better loosen their belts because they have two years’ worth of Fair food to catch up on. Fair fans can get a jump on tickets, as season passes and general admission are on sale now.

The Flower & Garden Pavilion, located in The Hill, celebrates the Centennial with Cheers to 100 Years. The Pavilion will feature a look at the Fair’s history through flowers. The center waterfall will complement America’s Great Outdoors with a nod to the forest, wildlife and the old Golden Empire Gold Rush. Expect to see a floral Clock Tower and murals of the most popular flowers for each decade.
Step back into 1922 and work your way through 100 years as LACF turns the Millard Sheets Art Center, located in Downtown Fairplex, into a museum of the Fair’s history. The entry hall will feature a tribute to the Los Angeles County Fair Association and the Fair founders. Artists will also feature pieces depicting the Fair’s history while the Patio will come alive with poetry, art and music.

Time to put that quarantine hobby to work! 2022 will feature home arts adult and youth competitions. Taking a page from our history book, we're reintroducing our Home Arts competitions featuring both youth and adult divisions. Formerly known as Culinary Kitchen and DIY, these competitions will be available for entry beginning in February.

The concert series will return as well, of course. The first acts will be announced in the coming weeks.
