Segregation and Integration: Church, Home, School,Work
Come hear La Verne residents tell some shocking tales of segregation in mid-20th century! La Verne as well as truly admirable intervention by opponents of discrimination. These stories will come through oral histories by people who helped make La Verne the enviable city that it is today. Professor Emeritus Al Clark will facilitate their stories.
All are welcome at this free event jointly sponsored by the La Verne Historical Society, Hillcrest’s Committee for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the Committee for Cultural and Social Inclusion (CASI), the La Verne Church of the Brethren, The University of La Verne, the Bonita Unified School District, and Compassionate La Verne.
