Marlene Carney of Marlene Carney Consulting Services is semi-retired today having recently retired from a 35 year chamber of commerce career. She managed the Turlock Chamber of Commerce (1984-1992), worked as Director of Local Chamber Services for the California Chamber of Commerce (1992-2013) and managed the Irwindale Chamber of Commerce (2014-2019).
Today Marlene does freelance consulting with non profits, chambers of commerce and associations. Her services include meeting facilitation, strategic planning, fundraising, community relations, and writing. Marlene currently serves as a volunteer with the La Verne Chamber Ambassadors. She serves on the board of Shepherd's Pantry and the Cal State LA University Alumni Association and volunteers with the La Verne/San Dimas Women's Club and Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens.
