What we do:
Project One Cause, is a nonprofit organization that provides financial aid and educational support for families with children affected by non-fatal drowning and hypoxic brain injuries.
Financial Aid for Requisite Therapies/Equipment
Outpatient therapies are typically out of pocket expenses or are not covered by insurance and include but are not limited to the following:
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments (HBOT)
Neuro-rehab/neuro-plasticity modalities (IAHP, Doman Int’l, ABM, Feldenkrais, etc.)
Therapeutic riding, hippotherapy
Neuro-vision rehabilitation services
Education/Peer-to-Peer Parent Support
Parent to parent support groups to assist with overall education and mental health/wellness of parents, family members, and/or caregivers.
Educational materials/videos/links that include but are not limited to the following:
The various types of modalities/therapy interventions, equipment, and aids
Research listing the outcomes associated with the above
Research
The organization will foster research into the treatment and outcomes of children with hypoxic brain injuries and associated disabilities through the following methods:
Actively seek out, review, and study the ongoing research dedicated to neurological rehabilitation, assistive devices, parent and family centered resources, and all those associated directly or indirectly to our mission.
Pursue mechanisms and entities through which to participate in various scientific studies and/or develop and implement small cohort studies (in collaboration with or guidance from linked professional and academic resourc
